RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY

At The River Kitchen Limited, we take pride in delivering high-quality food, beverages, and service. If something isn’t right, we want to make it right.
Café & Kitchen Purchases (On-Site)
All food and beverage sales made at our café are final. However, if a product is not up to standard (e.g. incorrect order, spoiled or undercooked), please alert a staff member immediately. We may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
Catering Orders
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or significant changes to catering orders. Refunds or credits may be offered as follows:
Full refund maybe issued if cancelled with 48+ hours’ notice.
50% refund maybe issued if cancelled within 24–48 hours.
No refund will be issued if cancelled within 24 hours or on the day of the event.
Custom items or outsourced elements (e.g. hired equipment) may incur non-refundable costs.
Events & Bookings
For special event bookings or venue hires, full payment or deposits may be required. These are refundable only if cancellation is made within the timeframe stated in your booking agreement or confirmation email. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Expiry dates and terms are clearly stated at the time of purchase. If you believe your voucher is faulty, please contact us - we may be able to help. We do not take any responsibility for damaged or lost Gift Vouchers.
Changes to our Return & Refund Terms
We may revise these Return & Refund Terms from time to time in-line with our legal obligations under NZ Consumer Law. Any changes will take effect when posted on the site, so please check back regularly.
