Welcome to The River Kitchen Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, online services, and any interactions you have with us, whether online or in person at our café. By accessing or using our site or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Use of Our Website

    You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use. You may not misuse our website (for example, by knowingly introducing viruses, attempting unauthorised access, or sending unsolicited promotional material).

  2. Ordering & Event Booking Services

    Any orders or event bookings made through our website or in person at our café, are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking at our discretion.

  3. Vouchers & Promotions

    From time to time, we may offer promotional vouchers or special offers. These are non-transferable, must be used within their stated validity period, and may be subject to additional terms.

  4. Intellectual Property

    All content on this site and at our premises (including text, images, logos, and menus) is the property of The River Kitchen Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use our content without written permission.

  5. Privacy

    We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected via this website or in person is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

  6. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of your use of our website, café, or services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to our site or continuous availability of any products or services.

    Our website may include links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control or endorse the content of these sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

  8. Changes to These Terms

    We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any changes will take effect when posted on this website, so please check back regularly. Continued use of our services whether online or in-person, constitutes your acceptance of any changes.

  9. Café Operations & Loyalty Programme

    When you visit The River Kitchen café or purchase directly from us in person, the following additional terms apply:

    Loyalty Cards

    • The River Kitchen Loyalty cards are issued solely by us and remain our property.

    • Loyalty cards are only valid for coffee and hot beverage purchases at our premises and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred.

    • The loyalty card must be presented at the time of the transaction to receive a stamp or signature. Stamps or signatures will not be applied after a transaction has been completed, for any reason.

    • A maximum of one stamp or signature will be applied for each eligible beverage purchased in a single transaction.

    • The loyalty card includes 18 beverage purchases. A free beverage is earned and redeemable at the 9th and again at the 18th purchase.

    • Free or discounted beverages earned through the loyalty programme have no monetary value and must be redeemed within the stated validity period.

    • Beverage rewards are valid for coffee and hot beverages up to the value of a large standard coffee. Any extras or upgrades beyond this value will incur an additional charge.

    • Completed loyalty cards must be surrendered to The River Kitchen Limited when the final rewards are redeemed.

    • If we have reasonable doubt about the validity of a stamp, signature, or loyalty card, we reserve the right to refuse or void it.

    • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the loyalty programme at any time without prior notice.

    In-Store Purchases

    • All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

    • We accept EFTPOS (including most major credit cards), cash, eligible Hamilton Golf Club vouchers, The River Kitchen gift vouchers and cards, and other payment methods as advertised.

    • Refunds or exchanges are at our discretion and in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Any concerns about a purchase should be raised with us at the time, where appropriate, so we can address them promptly.

    • We reserve the right to refuse service to any person behaving in a manner that is unsafe, unlawful, or disruptive to staff or other patrons. The Hamilton Golf Club may also exercise this right within its facilities.

    Gift Vouchers and Prepaid Cards

    • Gift vouchers and prepaid cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

    • They cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, are not redeemable for cash, and no change will be given.

    Liability on Premises

    • While we take reasonable steps to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, customers enter our café premises at their own risk.

    • The River Kitchen Limited is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, except where loss or injury arises from our negligence or failure to take reasonable care.
